MANALAPAN, Fla. - Republican presidential candidate Sam Brownback described his version of private Social Security accounts to a conservative anti-tax group Friday, saying his plan will help the economy and save the federal safety net.
Under the plan, no one would be forced out of the present system, but they would be given the option of joining a personal, market-based Social Security system.
