Hillary Clinton may have taken some body blows during last week's Democratic debate, but Democrats still peg her as their top White House pick, a new poll finds.
Both Barack Obama and John Edwards unloaded on Clinton during the Oct. 30 debate, intensely questioning both her character and her willingness to provide straight answers on issues like Gov. Spitzer's controversial plan to give illegal immigrants driver's licenses.

Obama Criticizes Clinton's Drive to Win
By Dan Balz
Washington Post
Staff Writer Sunday, November 4, 2007; A05
Sen. Barack Obama leveled a fresh round of criticism at Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton yesterday, accusing his rival for the Democratic nomination of following a campaign plan that prizes
calculation over candor and that is aimed more at winning the election than uniting the country.
Obama used a speech in Spartanburg, S.C., to sharpen his differences with the Democratic front-runner and to frame the choices before voters a year ahead of the 2008 election. Calling the senator from New York "a colleague and a friend," Obama nonetheless cast Clinton as representative of a style of politics that has been better for the politicians than the country.

OAKS BLUFF, Mass. (AP) - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton returned to her favorite family vacation spot Saturday to raise money for her presidential campaign at a celebrity-studded event where she took some pointed swipes at President Bush.
Clinton—accompanied by her husband and their daughter Chelsea—smiled broadly and swayed to the music as singer Carly Simon and her two children, Ben and Sally Taylor, sang "Devoted to You" for a Martha's Vineyard crowd of more than 2,000.
Simon, along with actors Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen, showered the Clintons with praise and predicted the senator from New York will be elected as the nation's first woman president.

Obama Raises at Least $32.5 Million
Sen. Barack Obama outraised Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton by $10 million in second-quarter contributions that can be spent on the Democratic presidential primary contest, aided by the contributions of 154,000 individual donors.
Obama's campaign on Sunday reported raising at least $31 million for the primary contest and an extra $1.5 million for the general election from April through June, a record for a Democratic candidate.
Clinton's campaign announced late Sunday that she had raised $21 million for the primary. With general election contributions added, aides said her total sum would be "in the range" of $27 million. Candidates can only use general election money if they win their party's nomination.

MIAMI (AP) - "A clean sweep" is needed at the White House because President Bush has fostered "a culture of cronyism, corruption and incompetence," Hillary Rodham Clinton said Saturday.
The Democratic presidential candidate told nearly 1,000 women at a fundraiser that she would have much work to do at the White House if she won election in 2008.
"After eight years of the Bush administration, we are going to be shocked by what we find," the New York senator and former first lady said. "Somebody said to me the other day if there was ever a time for a woman president it's now because we're going to have to do a lot of cleaning."

Comments from the Owner: In spite of the fact that Hillary Clinton is without a doubt an expert on corruption and Presidential misconduct (her Husband's) she is once again lying. This "lady" will do or say anything to throw mud on the Bush Administration. The one thing she seems to forget is that President Bush is NOT running again.

Clinton Slams GOP Rival's Cuba Remark
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) - Taking a swipe at a potential GOP presidential rival, Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton on Saturday criticized Fred Thompson for suggesting illegal Cuban immigrants pose a terrorist threat.
"I was appalled when one of the people running for or about to run for the Republican nomination talked about Cuban refugees as potential terrorists," Clinton told Hispanic elected officials. "Apparently he doesn't have a lot of experience in Florida or anywhere else, and doesn't know a lot of Cuban-Americans."
Thompson, who is polling strongly among GOP primary voters and is expected to join the race soon, made the comment at a campaign stop Wednesday in South Carolina.

Coments from the Owner: Senator Hillary will pander to anyone group that will get her one more vote. She has no concept of the danger of open borders and what is more she couldn't care less. Any failure on the part of the Bush Administration is seen as a good thing for the Democrats.

Obama sorry for D-Punjab memo
New Delhi: US Democratic presidential hopeful Barak Obama has finally admitted a big mistake, saying his campaign staff made a serious error in a memo questioning Hillary Clinton's ties with India and Indian Americans.
The memo had referred to Hillary Clinton as 'D-Punjab', a play on journalistic shorthand meant to suggest the Senator from New York was actually a Democrat representing the Indian state Punjab. The document referred to Hollary's investments in India and her fundraising among Indian-Americans.

Hillary Clinton Defends Use of Corporate Jet for Family Vacations
On Wednesday, Hillary Clinton was challenged by the press about the Clinton family’s acceptance of more than $900,000 in free private travel from Infousa, a company linked to scamming the elderly.
Her reply? She said that she had complied with all Senate ethics rules and reimbursed the company for the amount of a first class air ticket — usually about 1 percent of the cost of the luxurious private jet travel. According to Hillary, “Those were the rules. You’ll have to ask someone else if it’s good policy.”

Hillary Clinton Defends Southern Accent on Campaign Trail
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton said Friday she sees her sometimes Southern accent as a virtue.
"I think America is ready for a multilingual president," Clinton said during a campaign stop at a charter school in Greenville, S.C.
The New York senator — who said she's been thinking about critics who've suggested that she tried to put on a fake Southern accent in Selma, Ala. — noted that she's split her life between Arkansas, Illinois and the East Coast.
Clinton added a Southern lilt to her voice last week when addressing a civil rights group in New York City headed by the Rev. Al Sharpton. On Monday, dealing with a microphone glitch at a fundraiser for young donors, she quoted former slave and underground railroad leader Harriet Tubman.

Clinton walks tightrope as a trailblazing insider
NEW YORK -- Call it the Clinton contradiction.
Hillary Rodham Clinton is a political trailblazer, pursuing the precedent-setting achievement of becoming the first female candidate to win the presidency. How, then, did she also become the candidate of the Democratic Party establishment -- a title historically attached to less-than-scintillating contenders such as John Kerry, Al Gore and Walter Mondale?

Clinton vows to end war if elected
By Charlotte Eby
Of The Globe Gazette Des Moines Bureau
DES MOINES — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton pledged during a trip to Iowa today that if President Bush does not end the war in Iraq by the end of his term, she will if she is elected president.
She said if Bush still has the U.S. mired in the Iraq war by that time, it would be “one of the most irresponsible positions any American president” has ever taken

She also fails to mention that President Bush's positions prior to this war were the exact same ones taken by President Clinton, Senator Clinton, Senator Kerry and Vice President Gore. Enough Hypocracy, IF you want to support Ms Clinton by all means do so but lets quit lying about her positions. Ms Clinton has taken any and every position that she thought would get her good publicity or improve her chance for the Presidency. It would also be extremely nice if occasionally one of these stalwarts of Journalism actually did a bit of research. Come on Ms Eby how about telling the Truth, the whole truth!

Hillary Clinton: Bush ignores middle class
New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton has accused the U.S. President George W. Bush of ignoring the problems of America's middle class.
The former first lady pledged to place more emphasis on working families and create a better health care, education and economic security if she were elected president.
In a speech at a Democratic Party fundraising dinner, Clinton stressed that "for six long years, they have all been invisible," reiterating that "when we retake the White House, they will no longer be invisible to the president of the United States."

symbol of the U.S. civil rights movement on Sunday.

The trio of political stars descends on the small town of Selma, Alabama, for a series of events commemorating the 42nd anniversary of the 1965 civil rights march, a historic milestone in the drive to end racial segregation in America's South.

In confirming to this column his Presidential preference, Craig called Obama unique and added: “I’ve never seen anyone who has made the impact on people and on me.” He said he was impressed with Obama when he first met him at the home of investment banker Vernon Jordan, an intimate friend and supporter of the Clintons.

It seems that quite a few of the Democrat power brokers are figuring out what many of us "regular" people in flyover country have known for a long time. Hillary Rodam Clinton has neither the popularity nor the personality of her husband.
