Joe Biden discusses Iraq with elementary school class

Joe Biden, Democratic presidential candidate, discussed Iraq and Afghanistan with elementary school children. He remarked that President George W. Bush was "confused" when he decided to invade Iraq.

The Delaware senator encountered the group in the lobby of the New Hampshire statehouse on his way to filing his candidacy with the secretary of state's office, and gave a detailed answer to a question adults don't often ask candidates: How did the war in Iraq start?

Biden compared the war in Iraq with the invasion of Afghanistan.

Comments from the Owner: It always amazes me when we find a candidate that can read the mind of other people. I wonder if Senator Biden was "Confused" when he made these statements.

Senator Joe Biden: "No Surprise Crime is Up When Administration Has Repeatedly Ignored Needs of Law Enforcement"

May 31, 2007 -- BIDEN: “This Administration has failed our neighborhoods, our police departments, our communities by shortchanging the men and women who keep us safe everyday”

BIDEN: “The federal government has taken its focus off street crime since 9/11, asking law enforcement to do more with less ... fewer police on the street preventing crime and protecting communities means more crime – it's as simple that.”

Washington, DC —U.S. Senator Joseph R. Biden, Jr. (D-DE), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Drugs, reiterated his call to fully fund the successful COPS program in wake of new data detailing nationwide increases in murders, robberies and other felonies for a second consecutive year.

Owner's Comments: Now it's President Bush's fault that crime in Delaware is up. I suspect Senator Biden has the President confused with someone who flys around with a big red "S" on his chest.

Biden Objects To Recess Appointment Of New Ambassador To Belgium

(The Politico) Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Joe Biden (D-Del.) is objecting to President Bush's decision to give a recess appointment to Sam Fox as new U.S. ambassador to Belgium. Bush made the appointment on Wednesday.

Senate Democrats, especially Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), the Democratic presidential nominee in 2004, raised concerns about the appointment of Fox, who is a big Republican donor. Fox gave $50,000 to the "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth," an anti-Kerry group that ran ads against the Massachusetts Democrat.

Sen. Joe Biden Calls Iranian Leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad 'Madman'

ORANGEBURG, S.C. — Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on Monday called Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad a "madman" and raised the possibility that he could be assassinated by foes within his country.

"Ahmadinejad, the madman, is in competition with mullahs and ayatollahs who think he's overstepped his bounds," Biden told members of a local Kiwanis Club in this early voting state.

Boosting Biden, NBC Misrepresents 2002 Iraq War Resolution

If NBC wants to support the effort of Joe Biden and Carl Levin to adopt a new resolution undercutting the 2002 version that authorized President Bush to go to war against Iraq, let it put Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann out there to make the case. But please don't misrepresent to the public what that 2002 resolution [full text here] said.

This is a blogger post --- I am not claiming that it is hard news! It is a very valid discussion of the actions on NBC (Nothing But Crap) in regards to the Candidacy of Joe Biden.

Sen. Joe Biden A Wolf In Sheeps Clothing

Senator Joseph R. Biden, Jr. (D-DE), issued the following statement.

"There is no doubt that we have made tremendous progress battling domestic violence in the past decade - we took what was once a dirty little secret no one talked about out of the closet and made its eradication a national priority. But we cannot let our attention lapse or allow our spending priorities to become misplaced. Everyday women, children and sometimes men, in Delaware and across the nation live in fear in their own homes."

Senator Biden needs to get his facts straight. On May 19, 2006 the Center for Disease Control confirmed that over 150 studies have found females are equally likely as males to engage in domestic violence and dating violence. The Senator is helping to continue to hide the other half of that "dirty little secret." This is that adult and teenage women are the perpetrators of domestic and dating violence at least as often as men are. However, there is not one cent in funding to help male victims or their children.

Biden Unbound

Biden Unbound:
Lays Into Clinton, Obama, Edwards Loquacious Senator, Democratic Candidate on Hillary: ‘Four of 10 Is the Max You Can Get?’ Edwards ‘Doesn’t Know What He’s Talking About’
By Jason Horowitz
Senator Joseph Biden doesn’t think highly of the Iraq policies of some of the other Democrats who are running for President.

To hear him tell it, Hillary Clinton’s position is calibrated, confusing and “a very bad idea.” John Edwards doesn’t know what he’s talking about and is pushing a recipe for Armageddon in the Middle East. Barack Obama is offering charming but insubstantial fluff. And all of them are playing politics.

Joe Biden's History of Plagiarism

Joe Biden’s history of plagiarism and “stressless scholarship” gave plenty of ammo to his enemies, one of them choosing to circulate a so-called “attack video” to demonstrate Biden’s outright plagiarism of a British politician’s speech. But this appropriation from Neal Kinnock was not the first occurrence of unacknowledged lifting by the senator from Delaware.
