Kucinich: 'It was an unidentified flying object'

GRAHAM, Wash. -- A presidential candidate claims he once saw a UFO in our state.

The candidate is Dennis Kucinich and the claim is according to the new book Sage-ing While Age-ing by actress Shirley MacLaine.

Some claim the first flying saucer was spotted at Mt. Rainier. About 15 years ago, MacLaine lived in Graham. She hosted a lot of visitors, including the now-Congressman Dennis Kucinich. Unfortunately for the presidential candidate, MacLaine writes books.

Ron Paul's campaign buzz resonates on Internet

What remains to be seen is whether his online backingtranslates at polls

CENTER STRAFFORD, N.H. — In a New Hampshire meadow on a recent weekend, Ron Paul is without a doubt the main draw at a Republican presidential straw poll that attracts several long shot candidates.

Paying little heed to former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Rep. Tom Tancredo, the immigration-control firebrand from Colorado, a crowd circles the Texan to quiz him on everything from foreign policy to the Federal Reserve's intervention in the jittery financial markets.

MIAMI (AP) - "A clean sweep" is needed at the White House because President Bush has fostered "a culture of cronyism, corruption and incompetence," Hillary Rodham Clinton said Saturday.

The Democratic presidential candidate told nearly 1,000 women at a fundraiser that she would have much work to do at the White House if she won election in 2008.

"After eight years of the Bush administration, we are going to be shocked by what we find," the New York senator and former first lady said. "Somebody said to me the other day if there was ever a time for a woman president it's now because we're going to have to do a lot of cleaning."

Please read the rest of these lies at: http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070630/D8Q385BG2.html

Comments from the Owner: In spite of the fact that Hillary Clinton is without a doubt an expert on corruption and Presidential misconduct (her Husband's) she is once again lying. This "lady" will do or say anything to throw mud on the Bush Administration. The one thing she seems to forget is that President Bush is NOT running again.

Clinton Slams GOP Rival's Cuba Remark

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) - Taking a swipe at a potential GOP presidential rival, Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton on Saturday criticized Fred Thompson for suggesting illegal Cuban immigrants pose a terrorist threat.

"I was appalled when one of the people running for or about to run for the Republican nomination talked about Cuban refugees as potential terrorists," Clinton told Hispanic elected officials. "Apparently he doesn't have a lot of experience in Florida or anywhere else, and doesn't know a lot of Cuban-Americans."

Thompson, who is polling strongly among GOP primary voters and is expected to join the race soon, made the comment at a campaign stop Wednesday in South Carolina.

Coments from the Owner: Senator Hillary will pander to anyone group that will get her one more vote. She has no concept of the danger of open borders and what is more she couldn't care less. Any failure on the part of the Bush Administration is seen as a good thing for the Democrats.

McCain Warns Deportations Could Lead to Riots!

Just when the dust was beginning to settle following President Bush's latest assault on common sense, in which he accused conservatives of "spreading fear" by being honest about amnesty, Senator John McCain decided that fear mongering was not such a bad tactic after all.

In fact, McCain decided that fear mongering was essential in trying to sell his amnesty snake oil to a skeptical and increasingly suspicious public. On June 2, McCain rolled out his fear-based defense of amnesty on the campaign trail in Le Mars, Iowa.

Responding to a question about deportation of illegal aliens, McCain delivered the following dilly:

"In case you hadn't noticed, the thousands of people who have been relegated to ghettos have risen up and burned cars in France,'' McCain said. ``They've got huge problems in France. They have tremendous problems. The police can't even go into certain areas in the suburbs of Paris. I don't want that in the suburbs of America.''

Owner's Comments: BS! Senator McCain is pandering to the Hispanic vote and trying his best to convince everyone else that it would be to "Hard" or "Dangerous" for us to deport illegals. The logical outgrowth of that type of thinking is that it is to "Hard" or "Dangerous" for us to arrest Drug pushers so lets just stop now. Senator McCain it is time for you to switch parties, you are NOT a Republican! By The way I strongly recommend everyone read this article it is excellent.

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Cleveland Congressman Dennis Kucinich got a hearty response from Democratic voters in New Hampshire this morning. Kucinich joined several other Democratic presidential candidates at the state's Democratic convention.

Dodd To Outline Next Steps In Fight To End War In Iraq

Senator and Presidential candidate Chris Dodd today will announce his plans to continue the fight to bring an end to the Bush Administration's failed policy in Iraq. Dodd will hold a live chat at the popular blog FireDogLake today at 5 p.m. ET where he will announce plans to introduce an amendment to the upcoming Defense Authorization bill that would bring an end to American involvement in Iraq's civil war.

"The current policy in Iraq has left us less secure and left our standing in the world in tatters. That is why we have to continue the fight to change course," said Dodd. "The Dodd Amendment will improve accountability, provide a timetable for the Iraqi government to get its house in order, and safely and responsibly redeploy our troops and bring them home. Now is the time to responsibly bring an end to our involvement in another country's civil war while rebuilding our Reserve and Guard units."

SATURDAY: Edwards calls for probe of oil industry, offers energy plan (4:12 p.m.)

MENLO PARK, Calif. (AP) - Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards on Thursday called for a federal investigation into possible antitrust violations by the oil industry and criticized oil companies for raising gas prices.

"There's absolutely no justification for the gas companies to be as profitable as they are and have the taxpayers subsidizing the industry," Edwards said.

Hillary Clinton Defends Use of Corporate Jet for Family Vacations

On Wednesday, Hillary Clinton was challenged by the press about the Clinton family’s acceptance of more than $900,000 in free private travel from Infousa, a company linked to scamming the elderly.

Her reply? She said that she had complied with all Senate ethics rules and reimbursed the company for the amount of a first class air ticket — usually about 1 percent of the cost of the luxurious private jet travel. According to Hillary, “Those were the rules. You’ll have to ask someone else if it’s good policy.”

After debate, little-known Democrat draws a crowd

by Joe Lauria, Globe Correspondent
April 28, 2007

ORANGEBURG, S.C. -- Until the first Democratic presidential debate here on Thursday night, former senator Mike Gravel campaigned in almost total obscurity since becoming the first Democrat to declare more than a year ago, in April 2006.

But all that changed with a few provocative remarks from the stage of South Carolina State University with his seven better-known rivals looking on.
He said the early leading Democratic candidates "frightened" him because they had taken nothing off the table, including nuclear weapons, for possible military action against Iran.

Please read the rest of this article at: http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2007/04/28/after_debate_little_known_democrat_draws_a_crowd/

Owner Comments: I have never heard of this guy until today. I went and read some info on his web site as well as this article about him. Senator Gravel is a Surrender Monkey! He is in favor of an immediate and total withdrawl from Iraq and afraid of using military action of any kind. I would group him with Ron Paul and Ralph Nader as a Fringe Candidate

Romney remark on cost of getting bin Laden stirs the bloggers

April 29, 2007

Mitt Romney generated a tempest in the blogosphere last week by suggesting in an interview that the United States shouldn't devote too many resources trying to capture Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. "It's not worth moving heaven and earth spending billions of dollars just trying to catch one person," Romney told the Associated Press, adding that the United States should concentrate instead on fighting the broader problem of Islamic militancy.

Bloggers on both sides of the ideological spectrum, including some loyal to opposing candidates, seized on the former Massachusetts governor's remarks. "Perhaps Romney should watch the tape of the planes hitting the towers again," the writer Byron York wrote on National Review Online. A blogger on the left-leaning site Talking Points Memo wrote, "One wonders what the reaction would be if a Democrat said this."

A $2 million Hollywood bash that honored President Bill Clinton and raised buckets of money for Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign in 2000 was bankrolled by business mogul Peter Franklin Paul, and he says that was because Bill Clinton told him he'd work with Paul's company once he left the White House.

Owner Comments: As much as I would love to think that this would put an end to the Clinton campaign. I feel obligated to point out two pertinent facts to all conservatives 1) The article is on the World Net Daily -- not exactly a well respected news organization 2) We have seen in the past that Laws do not apply to the Clintons.

Clinton walks tightrope as a trailblazing insider

NEW YORK -- Call it the Clinton contradiction.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is a political trailblazer, pursuing the precedent-setting achievement of becoming the first female candidate to win the presidency. How, then, did she also become the candidate of the Democratic Party establishment -- a title historically attached to less-than-scintillating contenders such as John Kerry, Al Gore and Walter Mondale?

Edwards: Let IRS do millions of returns

RALEIGH --Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards wants the Internal Revenue Service to calculate and complete the income tax returns of up to 50 million Americans annually.

In a podcast the campaign will post on its Web site today, Edwards says the U.S. tax code is unnecessarily complicated and full of loopholes that favor the wealthy over the working class.

Under his plan, the IRS would gather tax information for 50 million Americans with relatively simple returns. The IRS would calculate their tax bill or refund, and mail a final report to the taxpayer, who would be able to just sign and return the form. Edwards' campaign estimates it would save taxpayers about 225 million hours annually.

Huckabee says GOP not above character issues

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Former President Bill Clinton could be owed an apology by some Republicans if they don't take character issues in candidates' personal lives seriously in the upcoming presidential election, former Gov. Mike Huckabee says.

Without naming names, the GOP presidential hopeful complained that some in his party —particularly Christian evangelicals — "talk as if, in this election cycle, Republican candidates aren't going to be held to a standard of personal accountability and responsibility for their personal lives."

Tommy Thompson Enters GOP Presidential Race

WASHINGTON (AP) - April 1, 2007 - Former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson on Sunday joined the crowded field of Republicans running for the White House in 2008. "I am the reliable conservative," he asserted.

Thompson, who was health and human services secretary during President Bush's first term, also said he is the only GOP candidate who has helped assemble both a state and federal budget.

Ron Paul: The Tip of the Spear

Ron Paul is a civil constitutionalist. He supports the same ideals of peaceful, non-intervention in foreign policy and for the same reasons as did our founding fathers. (the substance of which can be reviewed in a previous article here)

But make no mistake, the founding fathers were “armed and dangerous” in response to tyranny….. and so is Ron Paul.

Please read the rest of this "Commentary" at: http://www.theconservativevoice.com/article/23880.html

Owners Comments: If you read this entire commentary, and yes I am aware of how hard it is to read that much nonsense, then you will understand just how full of fertlizer that Ron Paul and his supporters are. The very concept that our DEFENDING ourselves in the war on terror is "interventionalism" is insulting.
