WASHINGTON (AP) - Republican long-shot presidential candidate Duncan Hunter does not plan to seek re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives, but his son probably will run for the seat, Hunter's presidential campaign spokesman said Wednesday.
Hunter's son is Duncan D. Hunter, who as a U.S. Marine served two tours of duty in Iraq. He has not yet made a formal announcement, but that could come soon, said spokesman Roy Tyler. Meanwhile, the son is helping his father in appearances during his presidential campaign, Tyler said.
"He makes a pretty good stand-in" for his father, Tyler said.
