Senator and U.S. presidential candidate Sam Brownback is touting a new piece of legislation he believes will help strengthen America’s families. He and Nebraska Representative Lee Terry have introduced the Parents’ Tax Relief Act, a bill that would extend the Dependent Care Tax Credit to stay-at-home parents of children age six and under, make the Child Tax Credit permanent, and eliminate the marriage penalty tax.
Brownback feels the newly proposed measure is an important step towards rebuilding family structure. "To me, the family is fundamental blocking and tackling," the lawmaker explains. "You’ve got to get this right. Payton Manning can’t throw many passes if he doesn’t have a line in front of him
