House Armed Services chairman and presidential candidate Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.) called on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) to resign his leadership position because of Reid’s comment that the Iraq war “is lost.”
“It is a statement that can be viewed by our adversaries as encouragement,” Hunter said yesterday. “It must be a surprise to al Qaeda leaders to be sitting in their safe house and have an aide come in and say, ‘Sen. Reid says the war is lost.”
